Frequently Asked Questions

While calligraphy is certainly a luxury service, it’s one that will make a big and lasting impressions on your guests, your event planning experience, and your memories of your special day! Calligraphers are notoriously detail-oriented (hi, it’s me) and will make sure that even the smallest aspects of your day get the attention and sparkle they deserve, from stationery to signage. The most important day of you life deserves the extra attention, no?

It’s never too early! I recommend reaching out as soon as possible, as my calendar can fill up quickly and I can only take on so many projects at a time. Even if you aren’t 100% sure that you want to hire a calligrapher, I encourage you to set up a complimentary, commitment-free consultation call with me to check my availability and gather more information to decide whether or not you want to use my services.

I can only accept digital, typed guest lists in either Excel or Google Sheets. I am happy to provide a template for you to use.

Please make sure that all information (titles, names, addresses, table assignments, etc.) is accurate and spelled correctly; I will write out exactly what is given to me and am not responsible for errors due to client mistakes.

Pretty much anything, to be honest! I’ve calligraphed on mirrors, acrylic, ceramic tile, glass, chalkboard, leaves, pumpkins, beer growlers, even fabric. Reach out to me with your ideas—I love to get creative! Please note that there may be an additional fee incurred due to the difficulties of working with unconventional services.

I sure do! I have a collection of mirrors, chalkboards, frames, and other surfaces for welcome signs and seating charts that are available to rent on a first come, first serve basis.

My current turnaround time is (approximately):

  • 3 weeks per 100 envelopes for envelope addressing
  • 3 weeks for custom signage
  • 4 weeks for seating charts.


However, this may change at any time depending on my current workload. I will share my most up-to-date timeline with you when you reach out to me.

Yes, I do! Rush fees range from 25% – 50% of the total order cost, depending on the nature of the project and how soon you need it. Please reach out via my contact form and indicate that you have a rush order for a customized quote.

While I would love to be able to say yes, due to copyright laws I am unable to write out your favorite song lyric or poem—sorry!

However, if it’s your own original work, then absolutely yes; I would be honored to!

I require a 50% deposit to secure your date. If you choose to add additional services at a later date, or if there are adjustments made to the services you initially selected (such as a smaller guest list than expected), your final invoice will reflect those changes.

Yay! First, you’ll want to schedule a complimentary 30-minute consultation call with me to share details of your event and your vision. Next, I’ll put together a detailed proposal of services, customized just for you. On that file, you’ll be able to select the services you’d like to purchase, sign your contract, and make a deposit to secure your date and services.
